Here is our fourth virtual project for you all to enjoy. This time we have chosen a favourite of ours, Flight Song by Kim André Arnesen. We have performed this many times in concert but never virtually! All choirs have had to adapt how they sing together in 2020 and we are very much looking forward to getting back together face to face but in the meantime, we hope you enjoy our fourth virtual performance
We have all had our lives fundamentally changed by the Covid-19 pandemic and for some people those changes have created or exacerbated domestic abuse situations that have left them vulnerable and with nowhere to turn. Based locally, in Woking, Your Sanctuary offers sanctuary, support and empowerment to anyone affected by domestic abuse and enables children to be seen, heard and validated - never has this mission been more important which is why we have chosen to support this charity now.

We are really excited to share with you all our second virtual choir performance in lockdown. Here we are performing Ola Gjeilo's beautiful 'Ubi Caritas' with our wonderful accompanist Hannah Stanley soloing and our Musical Director, Johnny Kilhams conducting us.
We have chosen Mind as our charity for this performance because mental health matters. Mind are inundated at the moment so every penny will go an extremely long way. Here is our sponsorship page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraisin...

with Southdowns Concert Band
Thank you for your interest in Walton Voices. We welcome new members throughout the year. We perform three major concerts a year and several smaller events for local and national charities. We are under the direction of Jonathan Kilhams who has brought our community aspect to the fore and we regularly find ourselves doing workshops with schools, singing in nursing homes and being a choir for the community.
Walton Voices are proud to welcome singers from all backgrounds regardless of gender, age, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, relationship status, disability, religious beliefs or financial standing. We don't have a formal audition procedure, all we ask is that you have a love for singing and give us a go.
Our rehearsals take place on Wednesday evenings 7.45pm-10pm at Bell Farm Primary School, Hersham Road, Hersham, Walton-on-Thames KT12 5NB.
Important Update - Coronavirus - COVID 19
We continue to rehearse weekly throughout the lockdown and restrictions using technology to have virtual rehearsals until we can meet in person again.
We are raising money for SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity through a virtual performance of the piece, Hymn To The Fallen by John Williams. We have individually recorded ourselves at home and then put all singers and musicians together in glorious harmony.
SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, has been providing lifelong support to our Forces and their families since 1885. Last year their teams of volunteers and employees helped more than 85,000 people in need, from Second World War veterans to young men and women who have served in more recent conflicts, and their families.
We appreciate that this year is an extremely difficult one for lots of people financially but anything you can donate will go a long way to supporting the wonderful work that SSAFA do.
We will be entertaining you through self isolation with hilarious videos so check out our Youtube channel here :)
